At Reeforest, some corals are sold as exact pieces, while others are sold using representative photos and standard size options. This guide explains what each listing type means before you order.
WYSIWYG Corals
WYSIWYG means “what you see is what you get.”
When a coral is listed as WYSIWYG, you will receive the exact coral shown in the product photos.
These items are usually one-of-a-kind pieces, unique frags, or individual colonies. Once sold, that exact item is no longer available.
Representative Coral Photos
Some coral listings use representative photos.
This means the coral you receive will be similar in type and colour to the coral shown, but the exact size, shape, growth pattern, and branch structure may vary.
Representative listings may include photos of:
- a sample frag
- the mother colony
- similar Reeforest stock
Mother colony photos are included to show colour, growth pattern, and what the coral can grow into over time.
Branching Coral Sizes
Branching corals are generally sold by head count or branch count.
Examples include torches, hammers, frogspawn, candy cane/trumpet corals, and similar branching varieties.

Non-Branching Coral Sizes
Non-branching corals are generally sold by approximate frag size.
Examples include chalices, encrusting corals, plating corals, mushrooms, and similar varieties.

Colour and Lighting
Coral colour can look different depending on lighting, camera settings, viewing angle, and aquarium conditions.
Photos are intended to show the coral as accurately as possible, but colour may appear slightly different under your aquarium lighting.
Pickup and White-Glove Service
Confirmed orders can be picked up from Reeforest by appointment.
You may also request white-glove delivery and placement at checkout where available. White-glove service is quoted separately and is subject to location, scheduling, livestock type, and availability.
